Every day, we drive the same road from the base where we are staying to the Care Point where we are serving. The route does not change, there are always the same turns, the same scenery, the same stretches of pavement and dirt. And yet, every single day I notice something new.

Maybe it is a small shop I had not seen before, a tree blooming, or a field plowed and planted with crops. Somehow, even though I have traveled this path many times, there is always something new to catch my eye.

Today, as I looked out the window, I was reminded how similar this is to our walk with Christ. No matter how long we have been following Him, whether it has been years or just days, there is always something new to discover about His character, His love, and His ways.

Familiar does not mean there is nothing new to discover. Just like the same road reveals new details each day, God reveals new layers of His heart when we walk closely with Him. The more we pay attention the more we see.

No matter how long we have known Him, there is always more to learn, more to notice, more to be amazed by. His love does not grow stale. His truth does not run out. Sometimes it is a new insight that stands out in a verse we have read a hundred times. Other times, it is a small moment of grace or joy that reminds us of His presence right where we are.

Walking with Jesus is not about rushing to the destination, it is about learning to see Him along the way. Just like this road, the more we slow down and pay attention, the more beauty we discover.

So tomorrow, when we drive this same dirt road again, I want to look with open eyes ready to notice something new. Not just in the scenery, but in the ways God is revealing Himself through the ordinary, through the familiar, through the small moments that make up each day.
